Praying and Fasting Together During Lent
Learn MoreLent 2024
Ash Wednesday, Feb 14 - Good Friday, March 29
During Lent, we prepare our hearts to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.
Here's how we'll observe Lent together this year:
1. Daily personal prayer. We invite you to make use of the new short daily prompts for prayerful contemplation on NCC Daily--find it on the NCC app.
2. Weekly 24-hour John Wesley-style fast
(Eat no food and drink only water, black coffee, or tea from sundown to sundown)
Sundown Wednesday - Sundown Thursday, beginning Feb 14
You in? Text FAST to 844-504-0861
Fasting resources at ncc.re/fast
There is so much power in practicing a 24-hour fast together! We'll break our fast together every Thursday night at House of Prayer--light pizza/salad dinner is on us!
We recognize that some of you may have health reasons that preclude your fasting from food.
If you can’t fast food, you can choose to fast from other things, such as media, or sweets.
3. Join us for Thursday Night House of Prayer
Thursdays, 7:14 pm at Capital Turnaround

Stations of the Cross
Learn MoreThursday, March 28: 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Friday, March 29: noon - 5:45pm
Capital TurnaroundThe Stations of the Cross is a traditional Lenten devotion where we read scripture and ponder scenes from the day of Jesus’s death. These stations, or scenes, help guide our prayers as we meditate on His sacrifice for us. We have created our very own Stations of the Cross for you to experience this Holy Week. Meditate on devotional paintings created by Lionel Daniels as you follow along with a scripture reading and meditation on the NCC App. Bring your headphones for the audio or read along silently at each station. As you reflect on each station, you can use your imagination to be present with Christ as he walks toward Calvary.
NCC's Stations of the Cross is a drop-in experience where you can come when you choose during the open hours (listed above) and stay as long as you want to worship and pray on your own. **Bring your earbuds or headphones and be sure to download the NCC App to follow along with the audio meditations. Written transcript also available.- Date: Thursday, March 28, 2024

Good Friday Service
Learn MoreGood Friday marks the betrayal, arrest, crucifixion, and death of Jesus. It's a time to reflect on the sacrifice Jesus made as we anticipate the joy of Easter. Join us for a Good Friday service and communion celebration. All are welcome.
If you have kids: Care will be offered for babies [0-24 months], preschool [2-5 year olds], and kindergarten/first grade. Register for Good Friday child care here.
We invite elementary-age kids in grades 2-5 to join their families for the Good Friday service. We believe Holy Week is an important time to intentionally invite children into the rhythms of the church community and encourage families to attend the service together.
