Adopt-a-Block

Mission, Service & Outreach, Prayer

Adopt-a-Block is a group of people practicing three principles: prayer, building relationships, and service. We’re getting to know one another, Jesus and neighbors around the DC Dream Center, finding ways to serve and empower them, and praying over practical needs in the neighborhood.

We meet Saturday mornings from 10 am to noon at the Southeast White House. We start with a short devotional and prayer time and go on mission in pairs or groups. Those missions vary from week to week where we work, pray, build relationships, and share life while displaying the love of Jesus however we can.

Getting there:
• By car: The Southeast White House driveway is at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue SE and 28th Place SE. There is a parking lot up the driveway with available space.
• By public transportation: Take Metro to Potomac Ave (blue/orange) and then transfer to Metrobus 36, 39, or M6 (toward Naylor Rd Station). Closest bus stop is at the intersection of 27th Place SE and Pennsylvania Avenue SE.
