  • Service Time:

Welcome to NCC at Barracks Row. We are located in a lively and historic part of Capitol Hill in Southeast DC. In 2011, God opened the door for us to purchase this century-old building originally known as the Meader Theater. Renamed "The Miracle Theatre," we have restored the building's rich history of a vaudeville show house and movie theater as another place where the church and marketplace intersect. We pray each weekend that God would write a story of miracles in every person’s life that enters our doors.

We hope that you will join us for a service and we look forward to meeting you.

  • What to expect

Come a few minutes early and we'll treat you to a coffee and donut. Dress is casual. A band will kick the service off with energetic songs that speak to God's character and our passion. It's followed by a life-giving, Scripture-based message. The sermon is live at Barracks Row Saturday at 5pm. The Sunday 9am service rotates between live and video messages. The Sunday 10:30am and 12pm services are video messages. Every element of the service reflects our heart: To help people reach their God-given potential.

  • Families & Kids

We value each child and family that comes to NCC! We believe each child is created to have a relationship with God and with unique talents and abilities to influence their world and community. Our hope is that each child will have an insatiable interest to be a part of God’s Church.

For our Saturday 5 PM service, we offer ministry for kids from birth through kindergarten.

For our Sunday 9 AM and 10:30 AM services, we offer kids programming from birth through fifth grade.

We do not offer any kids programming or nursery for our 12 PM Sunday service at this time.

    Babies

    Infants to 23 months

The littlest ones of NCC Kids are important to us! Our volunteers are loving people who will provide a well-supervised and engaging environment for your child. We believe that even babies can learn how much God loves them! Babies opens for check-in 15 minutes prior to service.  Upon check-in, you will receive a security badge. When service concludes, you can pick up your child at their class by presenting your matching security badge.

    Preschool

2 years old through 5 years old

Our preschool program is an interactive environment where your child will learn about God through stories in the Bible, games, and crafts that they can bring home! In each lesson, we seek to communicate three key phrases that we believe are important foundations.  We teach them: God made me, God loves me, Jesus wants to be my friend forever.  The NCC Kids check-in table opens 15 minutes prior to the service.  Upon check-in, you will receive a security badge.  After completing the check-in process, your children will go with you to the service.  They are dismissed to NCC Kids by the Campus Pastor.  When service concludes, you can pick up your child at their class by presenting your matching security badge.

    Elementary

    Kindergarten - 5th grade

Our elementary environment includes interactive worship, a Bible story presentation, activities, games, and small group time with a consistent leader.  Each month, we focus on a virtue based on a Biblical principle. In each lesson, we seek to help kids understand three key principles: I need to make wise choices, I can trust God no matter what, and I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

The Miracle Theatre is in the SE quadrant of the city.
