- Service Time:
The NCC Gainesville campus has a casual, come-as-you-are vibe that usually runs for a little over an hour. Since we are in a movie theater, seating is comfortable and comes with a cup holder. We want to maximize these cup holders, so we provide coffee upon entering. Follow the signs to our main theater.
Our time starts out with congregational singing with our live band. Everyone is invited to participate in the worship and singing. Following a time of singing and worship, there is a life-giving, scripture-based message via video on the big screen. After the service, many people take the opportunity to hang out in the Promenade or grab a bite to eat together.
For those with families, we have a nursery for infants - 2 years old that is available for the entire service. For kids 2 years old - 5th grade, parents may take their child into the service in the theater, and then following the congregational singing, the children are dismissed to join our children's program called "NCC Kids." Parents can pick up their child during or after the service. All our children's workers have completed a background check.
The best way to find out more about NCC Gainesville is to experience it for yourself, so we hope you'll do just that. We look forward to meeting you soon!
We value each child and family that comes to NCC! NCC Kids is a special place designed for kids. We believe each child is created to have a relationship with God and with unique talents and abilities to influence their world and community. Our hope is that each child will have an insatiable interest to be a part of God’s Church.
Below is a list of the kids programming and age groups that we offer at this campus. To read more about Family Ministry, please click here.
Infants to 23 months
The littlest ones of NCC Kids are important to us! Our volunteers are loving people who will provide a well-supervised and engaging environment for your child. We believe that even babies can learn how much God loves them! Babies opens for check-in 15 minutes prior to service. Upon check-in, you will receive a security badge. When service concludes, you can pick up your child at their class by presenting your matching security badge.
2 years old through 5 years old
Our preschool program is an interactive environment where your child will learn about God through stories in the Bible, games, and crafts that they can bring home! In each lesson, we seek to communicate three key phrases that we believe are important foundations. We teach them: God made me, God loves me, Jesus wants to be my friend forever. The NCC Kids check-in table opens 15 minutes prior to the service. Upon check-in, you will receive a security badge. After completing the check-in process, your children will go with you to the service. They are dismissed to NCC Kids by the Campus Pastor. When service concludes, you can pick up your child at their class by presenting your matching security badge.
Kindergarten - 5th grade
Our elementary environment includes interactive worship, a Bible story presentation, activities, games, and small group time with a consistent leader. Each month, we focus on a virtue based on a Biblical principle. In each lesson, we seek to help kids understand three key principles: I need to make wise choices, I can trust God no matter what, and I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
6th - 12th grade
For students in 6th through 12th grade
Four weekly gatherings in DC, Alexandria, Ballston, and Gainesville. Teens experience community, worship, and a message that initiates incredible discussions. We have devoted adult leaders that have committed for the entire school year to invest in your kids. They have gone through training, a background check, application process and an in-depth interview.
Why should every teenager be in a Small Group?
NCC Youth Small Groups exist to provide a safe place for students to feel known, discuss real topics, find mentorship and develop meaningful friendships. Our adult leaders are advocates of students and partners with parents. We believe our young people are not the soon-to-be or future Church, but the Church today. We believe difference making can start with this generation now and that age is no disqualifier. Subscribe here for information about what's happening in NCC Youth along with special events and retreats throughout the year.
We'll be meeting every Sunday after church to discuss the message at our home. It's BYOL (Bring Your Own Lunch). so go grab something to go, meet us at our house, we'll eat and talk and maybe break out into some hang time afterward. Kids are welcome.
