Raising Up a Co-Leader

One of the best things about being a small group leader is that you have a great opportunity to disciple a co-leader. You both are growing together to foster a healthy small group. You are co-laborers with Christ. As you are looking for a co-leader, pray for wisdom and discernment to understand who God may want to raise up. Pay attention to who may be a natural leader. Who do you enjoy spending time with? Who may be a good fit for your group? Then, invite them to take part in some of the things you already do! Let them lead a discussion one week. Then take the time to debrief and talk through how things went. The best way to raise up a co-leader is to model to others how to disciple!
