Community Development

One of the goals of living on mission is to develop long-term relationships, not short-term projects. Through knowing our neighbors by name, we can help meet needs within our own communities.

Local Opportunties

Prison and Re-entry

NCC seeks to support and walk alongside justice-impacted people both within and outside of our church. This is done through direct ministry and local and national partnerships. Engaging with families who have a loved one who is or has been incarerated, praying over and responding to letters from individuals that are incarcerated, and seeking to engage with our local DC Jail.

Community Development

A missional church is one that engages and works towards Kingdom solutions that build a flourishing city. Through knowing our neighbors by name, we can help meet needs within our own communities. Taking a look at the gaps and needs of our communities and engaging with the organizations that are working locally to make change. Serve with one of our partners in your community.

Ending Homelessness

NCC continues to work to end homelessness in our community through walking alongside individuals or familys as they rebuild their life. As well as advocate for systems and programs that make ending homelessness possible.

Child and Youth Advocacy

NCC partners with families and organizations throughout the DMV to ensure that all children and youth grow up in environments where they can thrive. Our partnerships include opportunities to mentor, tutor, foster and adopt, provide respite care, and support families in crisis.

Serve in Your Community

When we think of living on mission everyday we start with how do I live missionally in my own neighborhood. Invest time in your community whether that be your geographic, work, or social neighbor. Connect with your A1:8 Missions Director to learn more about how your location is engaging.
