This year, we're hosting SIX Eggstravaganzas in DC and Northern VA! Last year at our five Eggstravaganzas we hosted 13,529 people, and kids went home with 48,800 eggs! This year promises to be even bigger as we add a SIXTH Eggstravaganza at Garrison Elementary in DC. It will take an army of people to bless our communities with these FREE Easter egg hunts complete with games, prizes, the Easter Bunny, and much more! Each Eggstravaganza is custom-tailored to a particular community. What a great opportunity to serve in our neighborhoods, meet new neighbors, and provide a fun and festive Eastertime celebration for all. Sign up to serve. We need you!

God doesn't call us to just survive our 9-5, God calls us to thrive. At the intersection of Work & Faith is where we could fall or we could flourish. Join us as we learn to navigate the I N T E R S E C T I O N S of Work & Faith and empower the church beyond the walls and into the workplace.
Breakfast and Coffee will be Provided. Bring a friend! Skeptics welcome!
We will be holding info sessions after the 9am and 10:30am services at Barracks Row.
Join us as we partner with National Coalition for the Homeless for the 5th year in a row. This is an opportunity to get a small glimpse into what it would be like to live on the street in DC. You will see the world through the eyes of someone experiencing homelessness and hear their stories. You will learn what the city has to offer in terms of services and what it is like to sleep outside on the street.
Your empathy will grow and your stereotypes of people experiencing homelessness will change. God’s heart breaks for the poor and suffering right in our backyard. Let’s seek to understand His heart just a little bit more.
We will be holding info sessions after the 9am, 10:30am and 12p services at Barracks Row.
In Nairobi, Kenya there is a place called Kibera. Kibera is one of the largest slums in the world. There are over a million and a half people who live day in and day out in some of the worst conditions the world has to offer—on less than a dollar per day. With a message of hope and love, we will spend time working with those who call Kibera home. We are partnering with First Love International Ministries to work in the slum and at a children’s home where orphans the slum could no longer support are cared for. This will be a heart check for all of us as we work to bring Christ’s love to our family a world away. Be prepared to laugh, cry, and have your life changed forever. “The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love” (Galatians 5:6).
Last year, we hosted over 13,000 people at Eggstravaganzas around DC and NoVA. Kids collected over 48,000 candy-filled eggs. This year will be bigger and better than ever with SIX locations.
You're invited to join the fun! Everything you need to know is at eggstravaganzadc.com.

The Rising is a movement of women awakening to the purpose and leadership potential God has hard-wired into them. Birthed out of the friendships of 5 pastors in the DC Metro area, each celebrating the voice, value and strength in every woman, we are intentional about seeing women experience the full life God has prepared for them!
Contrasting with India’s vibrant colors, aromas, and its rich cultural heritage are the dark industries of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. Economic hardships and the lack of livelihood options combined with an entrenched, oppressive class system leave thousands desperate enough to become trapped in–or sometimes forced into–the vicious cycle of sex slavery.
For four years now, we have partnered with Sparsh in Pune with the focus of investing in the lives of children of current sex slaves. We will also be supporting their various initiatives that provide hope for current women in bondage as well as holistic restoration to rescued victims of trafficking and exploitation and to drug addicts. We will be working directly with local communities and with woman and children in the infamous red light districts to bring hope, joy, and love while facilitating healing.
St. Jerome called the Holy Land "the fifth Gospel." We will take a four-dimensional approach to Biblical study by focusing on it through historical, geographical, cultural, and spiritual lenses. By studying the Bible onsite with insight, we are able to re-enter our contemporary world better equipped to determine what it means for us today. We will dive into the story of Abraham in Beersheba, join the Exodus in the Wilderness of Zin, gaze on the battlefield of David and Goliath at the Valley of Elah, and walk with Jesus from Bethlehem to Nazareth to Galilee to Jerusalem.
September 1-11, 2017. Led by Pastor Heather Zempel and Pastor Dave Schmidgall. Stay tuned for details. Interested? Email Jodi to be put on the list for updates.
