Dave Tress

Lead Creative

Dave Tress, Lead Creative

Dave is the Lead Creative at NCC, overseeing All Things Video.

Dave grew up near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He went on to graduate from The Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, Ohio with a BFA specializing in Film and Video. He became a Videographer and Editor working at ID8 Creative in Vestal, NY, as well as with their sister company Favorite Color in NYC, creating many corporate and commercial productions. While in Vestal, he was very involved with his local church on their media team, as well as serving in the young adult ministry. Most recently, he spent a year in Lancaster, PA, doing freelance video work.

Dave believes that he was “created to be creative”, so when Pastor Mark said that "the church should be the most creative place on the planet”, he knew this was the place for him. He loves to spend time with friends, as well as create through drawing, writing, and making films. He currently resides on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.

Jennifer Bass

Digital Storyteller

Jennifer Bass, Digital Storyteller

Jen is the Digital Storyteller at NCC, managing and monitoring NCC’s online presence. Born as the daughter of a United States Marine, she spent the majority of her childhood traveling. After landing somewhere near Quantico, VA she attended George Mason University where she obtained a BA in Film and Video Studies with a concentration in video production and a minor in education studies. She worked as a missions photographer and videographer at various churches before obtaining an MBA with a cognate in Leadership from Liberty University. After establishing her own documentary video production company that works to inspire involvement though sharing meaningful stories, she was hired as the resident photographer and videographer at the National Museum of the Marine Corps. Though she loved capturing and sharing Marine Corps history, she was inspired by Pastor Mark’s book The Circle Maker and decided that she wanted to work at NCC. Service has always been an incredibly important aspect of her life. In everything she does, she works diligently to serve God, her family, and her community. In her free time, she enjoys bowling, visiting house museums, watching movies at the Alamo Drafthouse, and antique shopping for vintage cameras.

Caroline Lebakken

Graphic Designer

Caroline Lebakken, Graphic Designer

Caroline grew up in a lot of places—most notably, North Carolina, Colorado, and southwestern Germany. She moved to the DMV in 2021 after completing her undergraduate and a MA in Visual Communication Design with Liberty. A lifelong artist-type, Caroline is especially interested in the space where creativity and theology overlap. She studies these connections in Fuller Seminary's Master of Divinity program, and plans to graduate in Spring 2024.

Caroline supports NCC Creative Studios in stewarding the visual brand and communication of the church through graphic design. When she's not designing or studying, she enjoys exploring the city, conversing over coffee, making candles, or spending a quiet evening at home with her fiancé and cats.
