Homelessness

We have been serving those experiencing homelessness since 2004. We began by meeting people where they are with lunch and conversation. Over the years, our investment has evolved but we continue to remain committed to building relationships with individuals.

Local Opportunties

The Way Home Campaign

No one should be homeless. No one should be homeless for years.

On any given night in the DC, there are nearly 1,700 individuals and families living on the streets and in shelters who are considered chronically homeless. The Way Home Campaign works to end chronic homelessness in DC with a coalition of service providers, faith-based partners, and local businesses.

InService

InService is an outreach at Union Station and surrounding areas to build relationships with neighbors who are experiencing homelessness.

We pass out lunches, but more importantly offer kindness, prayer, encouragement, and a listening ear. Our goal is to meet people where they are and invite them into a community where they feel welcomed and cared for through the love of Jesus.

The Living Room

The Living Room is a small group that brings people together from all walks of life to fellowship and study the scriptures over a meal.

While all are welcome, many individuals in this small group have found themselves living on the streets, in a local shelter, or as part of the working poor. The Living Room meets every Wednesday night at Ebenezers. Feel free to join us for fellowship. We are also in need of volunteers to prepare meals for this small group.
